1972 GTO 4spd.

PHS Documented

VIN is available upon request

This is a very nice 1972 GTO 4 spd. with PHS documentation.  The car is Lucerne Blue with Ivory interior and was originally a WK block code 400 CID engine with 7K3 heads, an M20 wide ratio Muncie 4 spd. transmission and 3:23 open rear axle.

PHS documentation shows the car was optioned with the following:

Speaker – R/ST

W/COV-DLX

Glass – S/R – AL

Cust Trim

Clock – Electric                  See the Build Sheet in pictures below!

4 spd. Trans.

Radio – AM

Console – Front

PWR Steering – Var

Air Conditioning

Lamp – GL/Box

Currently the car is equipped with a YC code 455 CID engine with aluminum Edelbrock heads, intake and AFB carburetor with less than 500 miles on a complete engine build which included forged Ross pistons and a roller cam in a comparable Pontiac 041 (RAIV) grind.  Also included are large tube, round port headers DUI ignition and gear reduction starter.  The price of just the engine build up was around $10,000.  The A/C evaporator, duct and condenser were all removed during the engine rebuild.  The dash control and in-dash ductwork is still resident.

The original WK 400 engine block, 7K3 heads (rebuilt), Rochester Quadrajet 4bbl carburetor (rebuilt), oil pan, valve covers, windage tray, exhaust manifolds A/C evaporator and condenser are all included in the sale of this car with pictures to verify!  The previous owner intended to rebuild the original engine and then decided at the last minute to build up a modified 455 for more power.  Because of this, the original heads and carburetor were/are professionally rebuilt and are still in plastic bags.

This car is RUST FREE and a very nice, tight GTO that runs like a bat out of hades.  The car also has 4 brand new BF Goodrich Comp T/A tires on 14 inch Rally II wheels and is ready to drive anywhere.

While the current numbers matching engine is not in the car, the original block and components are included in the sale of the car if the new owner wishes to return back to OEM stock original.  According to the PHS documentation, there were only 1519 hard top coupes built with a 400, 4 spd. so this is indeed a rare car.
